Ottawa Pianos is currently the longest-running piano store in Ottawa at 58 years, opening back in 1968! They are the premiere Yamaha dealer in town, selling many popular models such as the incredibly popular Japanese-made U1 and U3 uprights. Their grand lineup spans from the more affordable GC1 piano, all the way to full concert grands such as the CFX and the handmade S-series.

Capital City Keyboards (formerly Campbell Douglas Keyboards from the 1980s until 2018) is the premiere dealer of Kawai pianos for the region. As the name suggests, CCK carries a variety of new and used acoustic and digital pianos, with some organ options as well. Yamaha and Roland are well represented among the used pianos and digital keyboards found inside, where there's a size and style for every budget.

While not having the name recognition of Yamaha or Steinway, Kawai pianos are known for their rich, dark sound and Japanese construction at a more affordable price point compared to their competitors.

For The Love of Pianos

For the Love of Pianos is youngest company on this list, started in 2024 by Mitchell Fischer, (pictured above). The unique point of this company is that it exclusively sells used pianos.

Mitchell has used his prior career in piano sales to bring a strong focus on customer service for his clients. You will find gems from Yamaha and Mason & Hamlin available among his current stock.

Most excitingly, the store has a Yamaha T118 with an action created by Montreal-based inventor Oliver Esmond White. The Esmond White action is renowned for its ability to make an upright piano play with the touch and feel of a grand, offering even greater levels of sensitivity. This is a truly a unique and future-forward instrument for the virtuoso with more modest living quarters.
